How to Use Rithere

A complete step-by-step guide to setting up and mastering Rithere's global AI shortcuts.

Install and Launch

Download the latest version of Rithere from our website and run the installer. Once installed, launch the application. You will see a minimalist settings window where you can manage your AI prompts.

Create Your First Prompt

In the Rithere dashboard, click on "Add Prompt" and fill in the details:

Name

Give your prompt a memorable name (e.g., "Fix Grammar").

System Prompt

Tell the AI what its job is (e.g., "You are an expert editor. Fix any grammatical errors...").

Action

Choose whether the AI should Replace your highlighted text, or Append the answer below it.

Assign a Global Hotkey

For each prompt you create, assign a unique hotkey combination (e.g., Alt + Shift + G). Make sure it's a combination that doesn't conflict with your commonly used app shortcuts.

Put it to the Test

Now that Rithere is running in the background, you can use it anywhere:

Open any application like Microsoft Word, Notepad, Slack, or Chrome.

Type some text (or highlight existing text).

Press the hotkey you assigned in Step 3.

Watch as Rithere processes the text and instantly types the result directly into your application!

Pro Tip: Rithere simulates keystrokes to type the response. For best results, don't click away or switch windows while it's typing!
