Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 5, 2026

Welcome to Rithere. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the Rithere application, we may collect the following information:

  • Authentication Information: When you create an account or log in using Google OAuth, we collect basic profile information such as your email address, display name, and a unique user ID to securely manage your account and authentication sessions.
  • Sign-in / Sign-out History: We maintain a secure log of your sign-in and sign-out events, which includes your user ID, display name, and the exact timestamp (in UTC). This is used strictly for security, session management, and auditing purposes.
  • App Settings: We collect a snapshot of your application settings so they can be synchronized across your devices. This snapshot includes your custom prompts and tools (their names, the prompt instruction text you write, assigned shortcut keys, and enabled/disabled status), your chat and quick-prompt hotkeys, UI theme, and other general preferences. We also maintain a history of changes to these settings so your preferred configuration can be restored when you are logged in.
  • Activity Logs: We log when a prompt (including quick prompts) is executed, capturing the action, the name/label of the prompt, the shortcut key used to trigger it, your user ID and display name, and the timestamp.

2. How AI Processing Works (Your Text)

Rithere's core feature sends text to an AI model to generate a response. To make this work, the text you act on — such as the text you select or type when running a prompt, and the messages you send in chat — is transmitted over a secure connection to our authenticated proxy service, which forwards it to our AI provider (Google's Gemini API) for processing. The generated response is returned to you on your device.

This text is processed only to fulfill your request in real time. We DO NOT store, log, or retain the content you select or type, or your chat messages, in our database. Note that the text is necessarily processed by our AI provider to generate a response; its handling of that data is governed by its own terms and privacy policies.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We respect your privacy and the confidentiality of your data.

  • We DO NOT store, log, or retain in our database the actual text you select or type when executing a prompt, or the content of your chat conversations. As described in Section 2, this content is transmitted transiently only to generate your AI response and is not saved on our servers.
  • We DO NOT sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How We Use the Information

The information we collect is strictly used to:

  • Authenticate you and manage your account and sessions securely.
  • Synchronize and restore your personalized application settings across your devices.
  • Provide the AI features you request.
  • Analyze aggregated app usage to improve features and functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

Rithere relies on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate:

  • Google: Used for sign-in (Google OAuth) and for AI processing (the Gemini API), as described in Section 2.
  • Supabase: Provides our authentication, database, and proxy infrastructure where your account, settings, and activity logs are securely stored.
  • Google Analytics: Our website (not the application itself) uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized visitor traffic and improve the site.

6. Data Security

Your settings, history, and activity logs are securely stored in our database (Supabase). Access is strictly restricted to your authenticated account using Row Level Security (RLS) policies, meaning you are the only one who can access your personal data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the application or on our website.

By using Rithere, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
