Welcome to Rithere. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rithere desktop application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Rithere, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Rithere is a desktop application that lets you run AI-powered prompts on text you select or type, without switching apps. Text you act on is sent over a secure connection to our authenticated proxy, which forwards it to our AI provider (Google's Gemini API) to generate a response. The Service also lets you create and customize prompts, assign shortcuts, and synchronize your settings across your devices. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using Rithere, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Rithere uses Google OAuth for sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google account you use to access the Service and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.

You retain ownership of the text you submit to the Service ("Input"). As described in our Privacy Policy, your Input and chat messages are processed transiently to generate a response and are not stored in our database. You grant us a limited license to process your Input solely to operate and provide the Service.
The output generated by the AI ("Output") is provided to you for your use. Because Output is produced by an AI model, it may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing Output before relying on it, and for ensuring that your use of any Input or Output complies with applicable law and any third-party rights. We make no claim of ownership over your Output, and we make no warranty that Output is original or non-infringing.
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Google (for sign-in and the Gemini AI API) and Supabase (for authentication, database, and proxy infrastructure). Your use of those services through Rithere is also subject to their respective terms and policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of any third-party service.
The Rithere application, website, name, logo, and all associated software and content (excluding your Input and Output) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
We strive to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, third-party outages, or factors beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time without liability.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of AI-generated Output. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rithere and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and reflect the changes in the application or on our website. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
